Learning on my own is nothing new, but it is something that I have had more energy to do lately. Maybe it is the changes in careers, changes in the seasons, or just changes in attitudes but all of a sudden I have an energy for training and learning and teaching and creating that I haven't had in some time.
The passion to teach has always been there for me but it is finally coming out in many creative ways. I have found that I love to write and use words and pictures to teach others about skills, life, or themselves.
I have created a Learn on My Own Series for kids. Books, videos and a website will soon all be part of this and the mission is to get kids to try new things, learn about new things and practice new things. If they can try maybe they will find their passion!
The first of the series is "The Kids Fishing Guide" and will help anyone learn everything they need to know to start fishing in an easy to read with lots of pictures included. It will have a website area that ties in with the book as well as video instruction to show how to do what is talked about in the book.
Lots of work, but very fun to begin to explore. What topics of interest do you want to know more about or topics kids would be interested in? The more they know the more they live!
